After reading every shock report on this great forum we went with Bilstein. $300 for shocks? Well it's cheaper than Edelbrock. (That was to get it through the finance dept.)

The stock Bils had 44,000. Handling was good but the nerve racking mini crashes over moderate irregularities got some focus.
These are the non Z51 models.

We got a new attitude! This car is now what I expected. The same road travelled to and from work before and after is the test track. The same bumps and dips are translated with control and civility vs. "Here I am!!!!!" Highway travel is subdued but still firm. The lateral control is a 4 corner concerted effort vs. I got it you take it.

There is a new layer of insulation between my butt and the road without losing any feel; there seems to be a bit more.

My hysterical suspension has been tamed but not beaten into submission. Stiff but no longer harsh. Can you tell I love them?
