Could someone help me please? I'am thinking of replaceing my shocks, or Haveing them rebuilt. I know Bilstein can rebuild them I have talked with them. Now What Im looking for is a good price for new ones. Has anyone bought new adjustable bilstein shocks? If so how have they preformed? I would appreciate your input on where to buy, Also if you had yours rebuilt how did they preform affterwards?...Thank You...E

A few years ago, I bought a set of new FX3 shocks for my old 92 FX3 car from MidAmerica and they worked as advertised when installed. However, once the old shocks were removed, two of the actuators had cracked gears and needed to be replaced also. These are harder to find than the shocks are.

I took my original shocks and shipped them to Bilstein for rebuild and different valving. The worked as advertised also.
With a Bilstein rebuild, be careful what you ask for - if you ask for stiffer shocks for racing purposes you will get 'stiffer' shocks.
