I have a chance to buy replica ZR1 17*11, and 17*9.5. The only thing is that they are black powder coated, with a polished lip. What do you guys think about a black car with the black rims? I can get the rims for 595 plus shipping

SIZE AND SPECIFICATIONS: There are two 17" x 9.5" wheels for the front and two 17" x 11" for the rear. They are 5-lug (5x120.65mm). The 17" x 9.5" are a +38mm offset (6.7 inch backspacing) and the 17" x 11" are a +36.5 mm offset (7.397 inch backspacing). It says they are a direct fit for 84-87. Suggestions?

Those should help with the traction problems you were talking about. HMmmmm ... The polished lip may look pretty good with the black car. Just enough contrast.

:w

Sweet! Don't know how the black/black will look, but these wheels are gorgeous!

that is my entire decision, that and the fact that they are 595... I know that is cheap, but are they worth it????

I have a set of these (but all 9.5x17) on my gold 87 coupe that I thing looks neat. Those wil fit your car fine1!

These look like AFS wheels, right?? When AFS first came out with the black GS-style wheel, the polished portion on the lip was an exact match to the OEM GS wheel. At some point AFS changed suppliers and the new wheels come with this wider lip. I liked the look of the earlier design but for whatever reason, AFS did not change back.

I think you really will like the look of these black wheels on your black car. Maybe some window tint and it will have a great stealth look. The price is great too so go for it!!

I think they'll look sweet! At some point, I wouldn't mine putting some of those on mine. Definitely will give it the "stealth" look. :cool I'm w/ C4Cruiser on the "tint" thing to. The polished lip will accent your exhaust.

Go for it!

I think they'd look awesome. The lighter lip would give it just enough contrast to attract attention. However, you'd have to paint the brake calipers because they'd be showing more.

I know European are not that smart ( some excepted :D )
as a black Vette owner in Europe people alway ask me if my car is the Knight rider car :eyerole , or even worse they call it a Camaro :ugh

I think black wheels on a black car look dull, they should be polished or chrome

but if you buy them wheels I would like to see a picture of the side
to see how it looks, especially with the polished edge.

I have a second set of Z51 1986 wheels which are at the polisher at this moment. just love the view of them when sun is shining right at them.

What an insult!!!:L:L:L

Black centers and polished 'edges' are my favorite look. I like the look on my 'whitey' and believe that on 'blackie' they'd also look great.

:w

I put the chrome version on my triple black '89 convertible and it looks great...however, looking back on it i would have gotten the grand sport rims like you show above. as someone mentioned, i love the look of the polished lip accenting the black wheel on a black car.

I think they would look killer. The polished lip is just enough to set the car off. The price seems fair too.

Black wheels on a black car look great, but they need the polished lip because without it the contrast looks funny between the black of the tire and black of the wheel. the rims shown look great:)

In general, Black wheels look more defined on a black (or other dark) car. If you want your wheels to not have much definition, you would put black wheels on a light/bright car. If you want to have less definition of the car/body, you would want chrome/bright wheels on a darker car.

These are the same wheels I have on my dark gray (almost black) '89 Ebay rat. Mine are the 9.5" width all around. AFS right? They look great and fit fine with no problems. I would even prefer them totally black, and at some point may even get them totally blacked out. I run them without the center caps, and I like them best when they are actually a bit dirty---sort of gives the car a tougher look. I topped everything off with the silver GS fender stripes. THAT really looks great, and the silver stripes and polished rim set each other off nicely.

I want your centercaps ;) Furthermore, I want to see some pics of all this Black on Black ya'll are talking about, might be OK, but doesn't sound great to me, and I've never seen it on a C4 that I can recall.
