Hey Fellas,
I need help as usual. 77 vette. I can't seem to get my blower motor or fan to work. My engine was recently replaced. I'm hoping that there is a unplugged wire somewhere. I really don't know where to start. I've checked all the fuses...seem to be fine. I've plugged wires from the A/C Commpressor. I have two connections. I also have a line from my firewall (passenger side) plugging to some canister under my passenger side fender well
(backside) only one connection on top.
(Sorry so vague) Anyway
I can hear a click when place the lever on max or normal from my Control panel. My A/C is partially charged. I can feel just alittle bit of air coming out of the vents when it is on but only if I unplug the lines from the commpressor. There is still very little air from the vents. No bogging of the engine.
Also when I have all of the my connections connected I turn the car off and there is a buzzing from this relay(silonoid looking thing on the passenger side plug from the A/C control panel. It has two connections one is a two prong the other is a three. In order for the buzzing to stop I have to unplug the wire that is going the canister under my pass fenderwell (backside top prong).
I hope I didn't confuse:confused anyone-----I can't confuse myself any worse. Most of my A/C was redone before this engine swap so most of the parts are relatively new.

Any tips, ideas, things to check would be most appreciated.

Sorry for my spelling
Ashman

If I read your post correctly, you have one fan speed and that is slow.

One of the common causes is that "multi-spring" thing on the top of the condensor/evaporator (i can never keep track of which is front of the radiator and which is in front of the heater core). As I understand how it works is that different selections on the switch goes through different sets of coils. This changes the resistance and the power to the fan and controls the speed.

I haven't had to mess with mine so I haven't had to get into the details so I may be off somewhat. Others will post to give further clarification.

Try replacing it and see what happens.

Bob
