Hopefully, this will be my last post concerning power door locks and power windows and lights not working..haha!! But with everybody's help (especially Dave), I have almost eliminated all my problems. Power windows are working and locks and lights will work when I can figure out why the CTSY Fuse keeps blowing. I will assume I have a short somewhere...:beer ....any suggestions on getting started. I have tried with the CTSY light switch (door pillar) taped closed and still blew the fuse, removed both door lock switches and fuse blew....took out dome light..fuse blew....thanks in advance:beer

I had the same problem with fuses on this circiut, finally traced it to the courtesy light under the license plate light, by the spare tire. The socket was bad shorting the fuse. It was really hard to find because someone had swithced the license plate socket to the courtesy light, and courtesy light to the license plate.:hb

I checked and everything was fine, removed the lighter and installed fuse..it blow..wondering if it is in th power door lock wires?courtesy light under the license plate light

Disconnected Glove box light, lighter, both power door switches and taped door pillar shut. Installed new fuse..blew immediately. Horn does not work, so will check it next. Do I gave a ground problem? Could it be a "live" wire that is rubbing. Are there any trouble shooting instructions in the shop manual (hopefully will receive mine in the next few days) that someone could send me....:hb

Do you have the electrical troubleshooting manual? I got mine for my 77 of ebay for $10 - 15 and it is a great help. Explains the wiring system, describes the circuits, etc. Very helpful piece of information to troubleshoot these types of problems.

Nope--I ordered my assembly manual and should receive it anyday. Currently bidding via ebay on a shop manual.......I have a Haynes manual, which has a fairly good wiring diagram...just not much on ground checks and what the reading should be with this vette....
