I am in the process of rebuilding my 64 coupe. I have the body ready to come off but can't seem to find the last body mounts. I have removed two just infront of the firewall, to behind the doors infront of the rear tires, two in the center, and two behind the rear tires. Are there more mounts that I am missing.

Two bolts at the radiator support, at the front of the frame rails.

Welcome aboard the CAC express. :D

Doesn't a coupe only have four on a side?

Radiator Mount
Behind Front Wheel (Firewall)
In Front of Rear Wheel
Behind Rear Wheel

I thought the fifth was only on the convertible.

The pair behind the hinge pillar on the rockers is only on convertibles. 63/64 also had an inboard pair toward the center of the frame. Do late 64 also have a pair around the frame gussets where the side rails meet the crossmember in front of the kickups? I think there is a pair there just inboard of the side rails... ??? -K

I have gotten the ones at the front near the radiator and the ones in the center just behind the seats. That makes a total of ten including the ones at the radiator. The front of the body will move slightly but the back is solid. I have missed a couple somewhere behind the firewall.

I was also wondering if the doors need to come off to lift the body.

I am a beginner at this so I'm learning as I go. I have a shop manual on the way and it should be here next week. I figured joining the Corvette Action Center would be a great way to get information.

Check Adams' VOL 2, page 201 to see the extra mount I was thinking of. This would make for more than 10. I believe this would only apply to late 64s if memory serves. What's your build date or VIN? In any event, it only takes a minute to look just inboard of the frame rails, just in front of the trailing arm crossmember. Doors do not need to come off.

Oh, here... check page 200 text at the top: extra bolt added 4/22/64 or aprx car number 16,000. Looks like it is only on the left side for an electrical ground according to Adams. Let us know what you find.
