2003 50th Annversary Red coupe, beautiful !
My 2003 coupe body is 1/2 inch lower on the passenger side front than the drivers side. Has anyone else ever heard of this kind of discrepancy? and is there anything that I can do to correct it?;help

What? Is this after the dealer work you just had completed where they replaced the front spring? Something isn't adding up here. You can adjust the ride height on bolts in the suspension. Perhaps they didn't adjust the bolt to the correct height when replacing the spring?

That would be my guess, and it was probly the only thing wrong with the old one!!! The car should have been lined up after the spring was put on it,and the alignment guy should have checked the ride hight on it before he started to align it!! I think you need a New Dealer!!:upthumbs

Yeah, I got a bad situation here that I'm gonna need some profession help with.

Where are you measuring from? Most people will measure from the ground to the top of the wheel well going through the center of the wheel. I would recommend measuring from the ground to the bottom of the chassis where the jacking pucks go. This will give you a more accurate measurement of the chassis height and not just the body panels.

I know on my car the right front is 1/2" lower than the left at the wheel well but the chassis heights match from side to side.

First thing to remember is to never measure "body height" then think that is the same as ride or "trim" height.

Second thing to do is properly measure trim height per the factory service manual.

Third thing to do, if the trim height measurements are not correct, is to adjust the trim height per the FSM.

If you do that and the car still doesn't look right, you may have a problem other than suspension.

Dear Mr. Halverson, Can you discribe just how I go about this measurement proceedure please. I'm not sure from where to where to measure and I don't know what the FSM is and how do I go about adjusting this to obtain the correct trim height. Thank you !

"FSM" stands for factory service manual.

It is in that book where you will find trim height specs, how to measure it and how to adjust it.

You can order the factory manual from Helm, Inc. on its web site along with from Mid America and Corvette Central.
