I know this is a long shot, ;shrug but does anyone know where I can get a bolt on tow bar (so it's hidden) for an 83 Collectors Edition (preferably in Canada). I have heard that they did have them, but none of the hitch shops around here have them anymore. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!

We have recently purhased a tiny fibreglass trailer, which is like new (it's a 73) primo condition and we wish to tow it to the Car Shows. It's getting to be an added attraction at the Car Shows in Canada, maybe in the States, not too sure of that. Since these little Bolers were primarily made in Canada way back when. Thanks:D

Sorry in the previous post I meant to say 82 CE Tow Bar

Meant to say tow bar for an 82 CE brain is working faster than the fingers. Whoops
Thanks

Don't you want a trailor hitch to hook a trailor to? Have custom made at a welding shop, I used to do it to my other cars.

Here I go again, maybe I am using Canadian slang, we
refer to trailer hitches that are lightweight and not pulling large loads as tow bars. Sorry if my choice of wording mislead. But the Corvette Expert in my area
told me corvette had one for the 82's but they are very rare, thus I thought someone out there may have one
that they don't want anymore. As for having one made, in this part of the world I wouldn't trust anyone to make anything for my Car....no rocket scientists live close by!

The welders we have dealt with in the pass, were not very good at what they claim they can do. Trust me, you should see the mess they made of my kitchen cabinet spindles. A two year old could have done better.
But nevertheless thanks for your reply.
I hopefully will hear from others that may be able to help.
Cheer and thanks so much for the suggestion.

There was a bolt-on hitch available for the 68-73 w/ chrome rear bumpers. As best I can remember, the tow tongue connected to the rear spring attachment plate and was supported at the rear by attaching to the bumpers. Of course this won't work on yours and I can't say I've ever heard of one of the 74-82 style. Probably have to go the custom route as LVMYVT76 suggested.

Did you try Google?

Vette Gal: I dont think in 82 that was a Factory Option, but either way, you'd be hard pressed to find a OEM one anyways. My best guess would be UHaul or a place that rents trailiers, they also have mountable hitch/tow stuff.. Good luck in your search.

Oh and i've PM'd you some info.
