To all those that installed the Rockbox Amps and ended up with the dreaded ignition noise, here is your cure. Radio Shack (or your favorite electronics supplier) has a "Ground-Loop Isolator". At $15.00 each, they were a little more than I expected to pay, but hey I remember gas for .19 cents a gallon and cigarettes for .35 cents a pack. Regardless, they work! Use one for each amp you installed. You will also need a pair of RCA female - female connectors. After you remove the speaker grill, the speaker and finally the baseplate assembly, simply use the RCA cable that you have going to the amp and with the female connector plug it into the isolator (red or white - it doesn't matter). Then take the corresponding color output RCA back into the Amp. Get a little creative with wire ties to clean it all up then reinstall the baseplate, speaker and grill. Do not forget to plug the speaker wires back in and the GM locking connector on the outside. Thats all there is. I did shoot pictures this time, but they are still in the camera.
