Brake calipier question

Hi to all, the two front calipier's on my 91 have slight movement, is this normal or should they be mounted solidly. Haven't checked the back ones yet.Thanks

The Vette calipers for C4's are what are known as "semi-free floating" They ride on a guide pin and have very little contact with the caliper mounts. So yes a little movement is normal.

FWIW if you go to change the pads you should only have to remove the upper guide pin, then the caliper should swing out and back revealing the pads.
