Did you clean all the surfaces well just prior to installation? Often a crunching has to do with dirt between the pad and rotor. You might try spraying with a brake parts cleaner, but for all intents and purposes any damamge that would be done is done now. It should be minimal. Say 10K less wear with this set of pads.
What condition were the rotors in when you installed the new pads?? Rotors that are deeply grooved or even slightly warped can cause noises. Are there puisations in the pedal during moderate braking?
The service manual does not recommend machining the rotors when changing pads as the thickness of the rotor is such that een one machining operation can place the rotor thickness at their minimum usable width.
As mentioned, did you clean the rotor surface with a brake cleaner before installing the pads? Pull the pads when you have a chance and inspect the surface of the pad material. Look for any debris that may hae been embedded into the pad. You can lightly burnish the pad surface with a wire brush or emery cloth if the surface appears very smooth and glossy.
