Hi All,
Just thought I would get your thoughts before I start tearing apart my brakes. I purchased this 76 Vette about 3 weeks ago and have been just fixing minor things. It has 51,000 original miles. I've have receipts from the previous owner showing new stainless calipers, brake pads, brake lines & clips installed in 97 with very little mileage since then. I've only driven it a little since I purchased it. I noticed a slight pull to left when braking and I just noticed leaks under the car. Upon closer inspection, the inside of the driver side tire was covered with fluid. Any thoughs to where I should start?

Sounds like a caliper rebuild is in order. 7 years is a long time especially if the car was little used. O ring seals dry out and leak when finally put to use.

By the way, not that this makes a difference, but it is the front driver side.

I agree with red70vette. Just had the exact same problem with mine and it was a leak in one of the pistons of the caliper
