brake pads

I'm pulling off the frt & rear brake calipers to paint them and thought it might be a good opportunity to change the brake pads to a type with less brake dust output and better perfomance. I have 30K miles on the current pads with about 1/2 the pad material left, the rotors appear clean (no scoring) and I have no pulsing when braking, so they are most likely not warped either, do I need to have the rotors turned or can I pop in the new pads and go ?

Thanks

I suggest ceramic brake pads for very little dust and great street performance. Don't turn the rotors, just block sand them to a bright surface. Light straight scratches are what you want.

I also suggest stainless steel braided lines while you are under there. They do help the feel. Then you will be looking good and stopping better too.

Just throw new pads on. Stock rotors are cheap anyway. I destroy my rotors every 20k anyway. They warp very easily. When I get new rotors I always paint them flat black in the middle and outer edges, where they usually rust, before installing them. Works great.
