I am replacing the front brake calipers on my 72 coupe. While I have it apart I was going to replace the brake pads as well. Does anyone have any experience or recomendations on brake pads. I would like to find a good quality pad that produces as little brake dust as possible. I have been told Ceramic pads are really good in that respect. Any feedback or advice is appreciated.

The absolute best pads ever developed for C2-C3 Corvettes are the original ones that GM installed in your car when new. They're still available from any AC Delco outlet.

The aftermarket stuff either is no better than stock, or if made from an aggressive compound will eat your rotors.

I only run organic pads. They do not eat rotors. The metalic pads will quickly eat your new rotors. I have good luck with Wagner organic pads for about $40 CDN per end. For that one panic stop they will match anything.
