Hi all...

So, my brake pedal goes all the way to the floor. I bled it about a week ago and it was OK, but then got bad again. I'm pretty sure one of my calipers is messed up, although I don't see any brake fluid anywhere. I'm thinking of just replacing it all, as I got the car in July, and don't think much of it has been replaced yet. What do you recommend? I seem to like what VBP offers, and from other posts I've read, it seems to be a good choice.

Is there anything else I should be on the look out for? I think I want one of those complete kits, also replacing the master cylinder and such.

Any thoughts/comments/recommendations are greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Sounds like cavitation due to either out of round rotors or bearing runout or both. Pumps air into the system. Fix this first or you are just putting a bandaid on the problem.

brakes

i had the same problem seals leaking

DO NOT use orriely auto parts rebuilt or new calipers i went thru 16 before i gave up and got some from corvette central
if you are gonna do the whole car use SSBC brakes or a similar companies
if you cant find the leak check for a smear on your rotrs and rebleed them all also if your lines are original you may want to replace them too
hope this helps you out if not email me here and ill see what i can pass on to you in the way of experience with vette brake problems
:bar :m

I had the same problem this summer, check and see if at any time the rotors were removed, (rivits drilled out) if they were than you need to have them schimmed. this was the cause of my brake problems.

very good info

Thanks everyone. I will definately be checking out all of your suggestions.

Theorizing that all is OK with everything, what are recommendations on brands or companies to purchase from?

Thanks!
