Driving down good ole San Antonio streets, top cracked like an egg dropped from the Empire State Bldg. Devcon suggested acrylic mixture that didn't work because I can't do anything right. Cracks were too big.

Ecklers and Mid-America want me to pawn my wife and kids and Thompson Astro-Tops have bankers hours.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

:cry

Thanks

Dale

I bought the Thompson. I was very happy with it.

Good Luck

Check sunroofdoctor.com:cool I have not done business with either these people or Thompson Astro Tops but $449 for a rebuilt 1984 - 1996 Targa top does not sound unreasonable.:D even if you have to send in the old one as a core. New targa tops are jut too damn expensive. Good luck and if you find another place, let us know.:J I will soon have to do something with mine.

Check all the Corvette salvage places. They might possibly have a car that was hit from the side and the top wasn't damaged. There are a lot more possibilities besides the Ecklers, Mid-American, etc...

I found a New Old Stock (NOS) at
a local Vette shop. Insurance covered
it under my glass policy...
Beautiful!

I replaced my cracked roof with an original GM part at no cost thanks to my insurance. Check it out, new OEM tops are $1250+, if your insurance covers it it's $0.

MY TOP WAS PRETTY MUCH SCRATCHED AND CRACKED. I USED GENERATION ROOF PANELS OUT IN TN. THEY DID A GREAT JOB. I DEALT WITH A GUY NAMED KEITH. TOTAL PRICE WAS 449 SHIPPING AND EVERYTHING. THEY SEND A BOX FOR YOU TO SEND YOURS BACK. 800-265-9459 IS THEIR NUMBER .

LOUD AND CLEAR! :L

Can someone pitch me the Web Address for Thompson please.

I remember hearing about that place. From what Ive heard you can buy a complete top for like half the cost of a Ecklers/Gm replacement.

(Someday Id like to exchange my fibre roof) I need the extra 1" of head room and I like to see what movies are playing on the sign without getting out of the car!! LOL :L
