Today I started to build a dual 2,5" exhaust and when unbolting the exhaust I noted that the oxygen-sensor hang by its cable alone.

The sensor was broken into two pieces and it´s a wounder that the car have run as well as it did. I didn´t even get any SES-light.

Hopefully I can get a good increse in power when adding a good exhaust and a new sensor.

Isn´t it strange that the car run at all?

it probably ran in open loop since the sensor got broke

suprised there was no light . it probably was running in open loop . should run better with all the ecm inputs working . Is the check engine lite working ? Steve

oxygen sensor

Yea that´s the only thing I can think of too.

I wounder what will happen to the cars performance after a change, meaning the computer doesn´t read the oxygen-sensor during full throttle anyway?

Yes, the SES light do work. The most noticeable is that the idle wasn´t "top notch perfect" but not bad enough to start suspicious thoughts.
