'Build sheet' for a '79....did they still put them....on top of the gas tank? or maybe various locations?....or did they have them?...f anyone can help...Thanks

Yes, it has/had one, but I can't remember if it was moved by that year model or not????????

Maybe a later model shark guy can jump in and give us a hand with this info.

The build sheet should be on top of the gas tank as this location was used on C3's even through 81 or 82. If you move the the splash guard around the filler and shine a light toward the end of the tank you may be able to see it. Historically these have not always been in such a condition as to be able to read them after 23-24 years. Occasionally there have been reports of sheets found under the carpet in the rear compartment area.

Like Dale said,it's on top of the gas tank. The next time you have your spare tire carrier off, shine a flash light up in towards the front of the gas tank. You might see a portion of it hanging over the front of the tank. If you see it there,DON'T yank on it. It will disentegrate into pieces(speaking from experience). You'll have to drop the tank to preserve it properly. I have about 70% of mine in about 8 pieces. I wished I had dropped the tank instead of being foolish!!
But I do have the original window sticker, that's some consolation.
