i have some serious warping issues with my front and back bumpers. getting mixed signals again on how to fix this.

the rear of my car is so warped the corvette logo is frowning and across the top of the back "bumper" i actually get water puddles (lol).

some corvette guys have told me all i need to do is replace the interior parts of the bumpers with new ones and just stick the old "covers" back on and it will pop the shape back to normal-- because its not the skin of the bumpers that is warped its the cushioning on the inside that is at fault.

another guy told me, that they actually make some type of stuff that allows you to level out the inside then replace the covers without buying new "insides:

then, i hear that i will need to replace the insides and the outsides of the bumpers, because just sticking new stuff on the inside wont fix it.

i don't want to be embarrassed of my corvettes frowning a$$ anymore, but i sure would love to save some money... any tips? thanks in advance.

Change the covers, the energy absorers do not fit tight against the covers. If you call around there are a few dealers that can get you new front and rear setups. Last I checked they ran about $600.00 or so. Or you could just buy the fiberglass replacements which will not warp.
