C-2 Spindle color 67 Orange???

Does anyone have a picture of their front spindles? I understand there should be some orange paint on them, some say like they were dipped at the bottom..
I am thinking of using engine orange paint. What would be most correct?? Thanks, Kurt

Here's a typical restored front spindle with the original "dipped" orange paint markings duplicated; has been judged and Top-Flighted three times with no deductions for the spindle area. This is the appearance judges look for.

Here are my original spindles before and after restoration. The orange used was from the quanta markings kit.

Would engine orange match close enough? It seems there were different amounts of orange, no two were the same...Kurt

Engine orange will work fine.
