If Mid America is showing the wheels for 88 and later C4's I would think that the offset on the C6 wheel is the same or close to the 56mm offset use on those years and probably the C5. 1984 to 1987 cars used a wheel with a 38mm offset and that would make the wheel sit inboard in the wheelwell about 3/4".
I wouldn't think that Mid America would have the specific offset/backspace measurements if you called. Sometimes their tech support people aren't completely up to speed on new wheel fitments.
The fact that they offer the wheels for sale to owners of 88 and later cars means that the bolt pattern is the same; whether or not you need to get a different lugnut because of any stud size change or degree of taper on the lugnut is something else.
I recalled earlier posts about differing offsets, but didn't recall the numbers, especially since I have always liked my Epsilons. Now, with all the wheelspin, I am thinking about larger tires and a new look. I truly appreciate the feedback.
I am not crazy about using spacers (and, I suppose, longer studs) but am not sure I fully understand the pros/cons. I know there is an old thread about this and am looking. Further input/experience is always welcome. mike
Here's info for 84-96. I don't know about the C5 and C6. There are adapters which bolt on to your exixting lugs, and have their own studs which you in turn bolt the different wheels to. http://web.telia.com/~u60113743/corvette_wheels/
I've tried to find some pics that show the difference between some sawblades, 9.5's on the car with 315's on the rear vs. the AFS 11's and 315's with the proper offset for the 86 which is the same as the 84 Z51. This is the best I can come up with right now. It's really quite a difference.
