C-6s for sale.... Dealers only ?

I am a MARINE. I fought in Viet Nam, 13 months, 4 miserable days . I don't quit for something I believe in and think I can make better. The eleven men in my platoon didn't believe in quiting either. Enjoy your freedoms and don't discourage others from their passions.

2 Posts..... over 1500 views. A few more and this forum will be a hot topic of discussion, knowledge, cars, parts, and a must see for any interested car buff.
I congratulate the moderator for allowing free speech and opinion. I think this site is great .... and it will only get better.
Perhaps you could list your service/deployments in the Military Member's forum.

We have several CAC members who are Vietnam vets so I'm sure there are a few good men who would like to compare notes.

I've been a member here since 11/2002 and I am a member on another Corvette site. Last year I traded my vette for a CTS (huge mistake) so I am vette-less until 2014. I haven't been visiting the sites as much as I normally do but I'd like to convey my thoughts on this thread.

I have never known a thread on this site that was hostile, abusive or otherwise uncivilized that eventually was not moderated and brought back into a civil conversation (or terminated). That is one thing that I really like about CAC, it keeps this a pleasant and informative site. The other site often does allow "spirited engagement" to the point where some posters are demeaning to others (members and supporting vendors). I disagree with that. It reeks of hiding behind the mask and acting in a manner that you would not dream of if your were face to face with the other person.

I completely understand that a person can take a vendor's pricing strategy to be "unfair". I just look at it from the view point that I can always vote with my wallet and go somewhere else. Also, if I purchase from a supporting vendor and I feel that I need to have something corrected, I want to have it corrected. It does me no good to post about it. The site moderators can do something about it if I have truly been wronged and this provides my satisfaction.

I'm not posting here to admonish the original poster (I hope the poster will take a deep breath and have another look at the situation); I am posting in support of the moderators who I have found over the past 11 years to be fair across the board and I have never witnessed favoritism. :thumb

Thank you. That is what we strive for here! :)

Corvette Mike is probably smart enough to know the C6 prices are about to go UP just like the C4 prices did with the C5 came out and the C5 prices went up when the C6 came out. In both cases there was a temporary slack where prices plummeted, then there were few left and low mile or no mile examples sold for more. Fact is the C7 is a solid 10 grand more (selling) than the C6. There is limited supply of the C7 so at many (crappy) dealers they will charge a premium on top of that. It will make the C6 look like a bargain in a just a few months at a price higher than what new ones are selling for now.

If you could expand on this a little more, I would really be interested in how you say this has worked over 3 generations of Vettes. The new model rolls out and all the older ones go up in value?
