C1- Painting Wheels Body Color??

I know that the wheels on my 61 should be body color but should the entire wheel be painted inside and out?

Read someplace that the back was black. Think it was in noland's book.
Yup, dipped in black primer frist and then outside painted body color.

I went and looked at my 62 and that is the way the wheels are painted on it.....It is all orignal

62`s with 15X5 wheels and whitewalls were generally all black reguardless of body color. However the 15X5.5 wheels with the small hubcaps and blackwalls were body color. 61`s were all body color and the early style Vettes 60 and down were also body color.
