1966,and a 1962 thats almost complete
So as you may know I am building a 62 not to factory correct specs,I have been contacted by a fellow NEEDING the original style horns from the car.So my question is how disstinktave is the horn note,Is it a mistake to sell them to the fellow? He offered a what I feel is a lot of money for the horns. I can tell you from doing my 66 factory correct I was searching high and low for an original correct alternator and would have paid a fortune for one So I also kinda feel I am helping out the guy. Belive me the money he is paying is not the true deciding factor in the scheme of things its only a small drop in an ocean (any one into a project understands)

Thanks again

Larry, I believe each horn has a separate note. Like a "D" note and an "A" note or something like that. Probably allot of Chevys from the era have the same sound. Seems like it would make sense to keep them. You already have all the right mounting brackets and connectors. Why start all over with aftermarket stuff? Just my 2¢.

Larry,

The original 441 and 442 horns are A and F note like most horns. I would put an aftermarket set of horns on it for less than $70, and pit the rest of the money in your pocket! The aftermarket horns will be much louder and more reliable.
Your 441 and 442 horns should be worth at least $400 if they are in nice condition.
