1967 C2 clock:

The lens is scratched and the outer bezel stainless is somewhat tarnished.

ZIP offers a replacement bezel and a replacement lens. The problem is in understanding how the bezel separates from the inner metal ring that holds the lens in place.

There are 6 locating pins from the bezel through the inner ring that appear to be flattened slightly to secure the two pieces together (with the lens between them). I can drill these pins out but what will I use to secure the new bezel and inner ring together afterwards?

I have the same question. I'm restoring my clock right now and the previous owner had run duct tape around the outside to hold it all together. Can't see once mounted, but there has to be a better way.

Any C2 clock people here? LOL

Here are the locating pins that I was talking about.

If I drill them out, how to I secure the back-plate to the front bezel (the lens is held between them)?

I haven't done that job but I have had my clock apart to know what you are looking at. I believe I have read elsewhere that you drill and tap the posts for some very small machine screws. Check out Radio Shack or your nearest model airplane/railroad hobby store for the "micro" hardware. Got a bunch of small stuff in my garage (father-in-law was a consummate model railroader) if you need something you can't find.

Good luck

I put in 6 small phillips head screws (I tear down old boom boxes, stereos, and TV to get tiny screws) and installed them with a small (.125-.200 long) piece of rubber hose on the screw to apply pressure evenly and easily without having to have super short screws in perfectly orthogonally centered holes. Even if the screw axis is a little off center, you won't bend anything or chip paint. The screws dont show. I also put the canister halves back together with 3 small screws (but they do show if you have a periscope and a flashlight) That way I can take the thing apart easily to clean the dust out every 5-10 years.
