Welcome to the Corvette Forums at the Corvette Action Center!

C2 gets Mustang wave but no C6...

You shouldn't, because it's like everything else, once you finally get her, your ready to start looking at something else. :chuckle

Stepinwolf

Yeah..your right...Maybe I'll just buy a set of "572" Valve Covers and stick-em on my 502.
That'll make me feel better. Only proble is I think there like $400.00 a set..:D

What were the military applications?

From what I remember ..there were standard Chevy's pressed into military use in the 50's 60's 70's. I think some were used by the MP's like Suburbans and Chevys as transport vehicles. Don't have a list of those that were used though.

Also ..I think Caddy and the Chevy division supplied motors for some of the armored personnel carriers.

The man with the answers to these questions would have to be Jhon Z..!! You out there John...??

Or if anyone else would care to jump in here..go for it. I seem to remember the Chevy 283 being used in a Armored Personnel carrier in Vietnam. But that was a long time ago and my memory isn't that good anymore. :chuckle

You better cut back on Kuba Kuba's.....:DWhich by the way have gone up in price..!!!

Go to Black Cat Cigar co...:beer
Ya I know, they had a 3 day sale and my shipment arrived today: I have a box and a half in stock enough for a month or so. ;LOL

Wow, I started this post 2.5 years ago and I see it is still alive and kicking.
