What is the difference between a 65 and 67 plastic simulated wood steering wheel?

'67 used the "notched" hub, so the aluminum spokes center section has the overlapping configuration like the '68 up wheels.
The "grain" is a bit heavier also, but that can be hard to determine on a used wheel.

Here's the key difference - the '67 wheel on the left is two overlapping pieces of stainless, welded at the hub (requires the '67 hub with the recess cast into it), and the '66-and-earlier wheel on the right is one piece with a flat mounting face on the hub.
