Are any of wiper switch connections on the body of
the switch assy connected to the metal body of the
switch or are they to be isolated?
My switch has a connection, not sure if it is correct
the wiper motor has only one speed working.
Also does anyone know the ohms value of the resistor
used with the wiper ( shown on page 12-74 fig. 117)
in chasis service manual?
thanks

wireing diagram shows only the three wires from the motor harness connected to the switch. Light blue, dark blue and yellow. The switch provides ground to run and hold in the parking pawl solnoid thru one of the three leads (whichever speed is selected). Perhaps there is a wire running from the switch body to part of the birdcage for a more secure ground. Turning the switch 'off' interupts the ground for the parking pawl solnoid and allows it to fall into the notch breaking the ground for the motor run circuit.
