C3 crossfire Injection Filter Cover

Hello everyone after reading many successful answers here on this forum I've finally made the decision to sign up and officially become a member. Now onto my first question. Recently while removing the cover of the crossfire injections I ruined the air cap that is connected to the filter cover and have not been able to find a replacement. if someone can tell what is the proper name of that piece I would very much appreciate it. I've added a photo and highlighted the black cap the connects to the filter cover and the aluminum curved Air to cleaner vent tube. Thanks in advanced.

do you have a assembly instruction manual or a factory service manual????
after searching thru some of the parts vendors I can't find an'82 air filter pic to try to help you....
I would suggest finding another '82 owner....82ColEd comes to mind...Try PMing Stefan and ask...he lives in Germany,so be mindful of the time difference
otherwise you may have to defer to the AIM or the FSM....

From what i can tell the [h=1]Air Cleaner To Valve Cover Vent grommet[/h]isnt an easy piece to find. I went around the usual vendors but couldnt come up with one, only the Valve cover side, but not the air cleaner assembly side. You might be best served in buying an old Assy to take the grommet from it. Sounds silly, i know, but..

Or talk to Dino's, he may take a grommet from an old 82 and send it to you.. See links below for the Old Assy's on ebay:

Thank you for the help. I have locate the part as of yet but will continue to look. The interesting thing about that particular part is that I reached out to the folks over at Zip corvette and they too couldn't find it or are unable to give me its name. In just about every corvette book or manual I've seen that part is omitted, its as if its the part that thou shall not name or speak of very funny.

They should at least be able to name the piece for you, though dont mention Zip..
