I'm in the process of installing a radio amplifier in my 78 vette. I have
an aftermarket radio( Jensen) that fits in the dash without any cutting.
Front speakers are fine but I'm installing the amp(50 watts x 2 into a 4 Ohm
load) to give the rear speakers a boost. Any helpful experience, tips and
info greatly appreciated.

I have my amp under the passenger seat. That rear well/wall/cubby makes an excellent spot to stuff it.

So am I to take it that only one other person on this forum has ever installed a radio amp in their C3? Come on fellas show me the love!!

Make sure you find a good ground to run it too. my amp is just hooke dup to my sub right now. But will be making a new box to house my 10 and a pair of 6x9's and my amp.

C3 radio amp / help?

My compromise has been to use the storage compartment in the rear, having a T-top car this caused some problems. I built a box which I later had to modify the third time to save enough room for the t-tops, and take my sub-woofer out. The sound system you decide on will dictate the amount of space you will take up. I decided on less "thump" so that I can take my tops off and still have a decent sound system. Not much help but this is my compromise. I have 4' Polk's in the dash, 4' Infinity's in the kickpads, 2 6x9 in the box. Sony Explode. Duck
