Im wondering can you guys post pics of your aftermarket head units in your C4 corvetts ?
Im asking since Im looking to do this .

Thanks

I am assuming we are talking stereo, I dont like how mine is installed (alpine) but I will try get a pic sometime tonight just so you can see reg stero in a double din spot. I think If i was going to upgrade/fix mine i might go with a stock one out of a newer car (GM). and just go with aftermarket speakers (hid behind the original grills if thats possible). Anywasy will try get you a pic tonight.

That really is one fuzzy pic...I need a new one! Its an Audiovox head unit with hidden cd changer....bought it since it looks stock...changed color myself but the stock unit is orange or green..it has cassette player and I added bose logo from OEM head unit. I think its discontinued but can be found on ebay or possibly Custom Autosound. Custom Autosound now sells mp3 units that hook up to the old cd changer control plug.
The below unit we were thinking of buying is also discontinued but we see it on ebay all the time. Its full size (1.5 DIN) so doesnt look stupid with "adapter kit"

What is the brand and model number of the second unit you show (the 1.5 din unit)? I can't make it out in the pic.

Thanks.

the second one is a UMP8015...its described in detail on the webpage.

The carbon fiber dash kit is from superior customs...I dont think they sell it anymore. 3 years ago they showed up at Corvettes at Carlisle and were selling them at super cheap prices around $200(which was annoying since I paid retail $600 a few years before that for the whole kit...door panels etc)

BTW there is a Pioneer 1.5 din that's still sold. MidAmerica has it in their catalog. I have at few recommendations on the web page as to what interfaces are best. The one that came with custom autosound was a piece of junk ;-(
