C4 guy needs info from C5er's on rims

Hi there,
That photo is of an aftermarket chrome plated c5 rim.
The rim design is the same, but Corvette never offered a plated rim, they were all painted grey.
I never recommend chrome wheels, because noone has ever offered a lifetime warrantee, due to the fact that they all peel sooner or later.

Just saw this thread - sorry for the tardy reply

I have these rims on my 96 with no problem at all.
Paid 400$ for them with a decent set of runflats on em already.
Sold the runflats and bought a new set of F1 non-runflat rears (mounted my original C4 GSC fronts for now.. they still had some life in em). No complaints so far.

Yes, being chromed they will eventually start to peel.. Its like having a sunroof.. the only types are the ones that leak, and the ones that are going to leak one day.

keep searching. There are tons of early C5 wheels on this forum as well as others like CorvetteForum.com

good luck
