:) To all you guys whose C4 has the Bilstein computer-controlled shocks: factory rebuilding is available for $100 each - much less than replacement cost. :D Rebuilding may be necessary if you've noticed oil around your shocks, or if your on-board computer blinks out any of the following diagnostic codes: 13, 14, 21, 22, 31, 32, 33, 34. :( Phone Bilstein's California facility during business hours @ 1-800-537-1085 and ask for Jack French. Jack's THE MAN, man! :_rock I'll be sending in my shocks before long, and once they're back on the car and damping, I'll report to you all about the experience. After all, "Something's always missing 'till you share it with someone else." Furthermore ( my Dad always liked that word), What good is a Vette with all the goodies if all the goodies ain't no good?!!

I just got a shock back from Bilstein. This is a great service and I hope they have a good stock of parts to keep this service going.

Bilstien also offers revalving of the FX3 shocks if you need a specific valving for autocross or track days. I believe the autocross valving is called "Morocco" or something near that. Jack can explain what the changes are and what specific valving is available

Doug Rippie Motorsports also has custom FX3 controllers you can install that uses a removeable custom chip that will further tailor the shock settings.

The FX3 is probably one of the most under-rated systems that GM has offered. I really like mine and outside of the F55 Magnetic Ride package in the 03 cars it's one of the best systems around.

Thanks, C4Cruiser, for the info and the vote of confidence! The FX3 is one if the big reasons why I invested in this particular Vette. I became a first-time Corvette owner in January at age 51, and after educating myself with weeks and weeks of web-surfing, I was adequately prepared to choose which Vette would best meet my needs and wants. I'm continuing to learn from people like you all - who have information that I may need - like the deal about NOT GETTING YOUR OPTI-SPARK DISTRIBUTOR SOAKED! John A. - alias "e3imcba"
