Can you use the accessory outlet wire that's in the center console? That's where I am plugging mine into. I'm not hardwiring mine, but it could be done right there, and the wires could run under the console to where you are placing the reciever head. I believe that outlet is unswitched, so you would have full control of turning the power on/off with the reciever controls. If you decide to do that, and you are going to remove the console for access, let us know. We can tell you how to find all the hidden nuts and torx head screws for removal.

Right now, that is where I plug mine into with the cig. adapter. The problem with that is, it gets very hot if left plugged in. With the Roady, there is the option for auto-on, as when plugged into a switched power supply, as soon as the the car is on, the system turns itsself on, and back off when the car is off. Plus, with the hard wired system, the sound quality is supposed to be even better than with either a cassette adaptor or an external FM modulator, like what I was using (before I sold my complete system right out of my car and bought another one). I utilize my center console for other storage, and as compact as the area is, the power cig. adapter takes up too much room, and I don't like the wires hanging all over the place. I bought a cel-phone mount from Kuda-USA that mounts to the side of the console (it would look factory fit if I were able to get it in shale, but it's only available in black) that I mounted the Roady to. So all the wires will (eventually) end up going into this mount and under the console, sight unseen.
If the Z06 has the accessory plug under the passenger toe board, you might want to look at the hardwire FM modulator. Part #SA10003. I found mine on Ebay for pretty cheap, brand new in the box. It is designed for the SkiFi, but I believe it was released before the Roady came out. It should work just fine with the Roady as well.
Have you found a good way to mount the antenna yet? Right now I have a 18x16 inch sheet of steel pressure fit to my back wall. It rests on the floor and pushed up against the rear wall by the center cargo bin cover and the top is slid under the trim/hatch seal. It works ok, but the satellite signal does not go through glass as well as it does fiberglass, and although the panel is larger than the required 6x6 inch mounting surface of the antenna, it still does not receive as well as it did when mounted to the outside of my Boxster. I saw a car the other day with a very nice extrenal glass mounted antenna, but I haven't been able to find it for sale anywhere. It was Delphi XM brand, so it should be readily available... somewhere. It had a thru-glass mount, but I don't know if it simply stuck onto the glass and transmitted through the glass or if it required drilling through the glass for wires and screw mounts.
