C4's with racing stripes photos

Here's a pic of lt4 gs's 1996 LT4 Corvette. It has a 383 with a 4:56 rearend . . .

that's a pretty poor shot........however....the stripes are all painted w/96 collector's silver. the a-molds are coll silver and the hash marks are painted artic white. stripes are spec'd exactly to the 96 gs's. it's been that way since shortly after i ordered/ and took delivery of the car in 3/96.

Mine is in the shop being painted now and the guy doing it ask if I would like to have some stripes added? He is suggesting a paint that changes from dark red to gold depending the angle you are looking at it, the paint cost 800.00 per pint. Any thoughts on how this would look on this color?

Never thought l would like them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But they do look real neat. My torch red 96 would look sharp with a white stripe but l have the the dumb plexi.

This is very nice, too. I think the key for me is two stripes (rather than one), with each stripe being about as wide as each hood bulge. The issue now is whether the front stripes should continue over the bumper, or end at the start of the two bulges.

I am thinking that your color might be identical to the dark gray of my '89 Ebay rat. If so, I recently put silver GS fender hash marks on mine (I got them from either Eckler's or Corvette Central). THAT really looks great---very racey and business-like, especially with the black AFS GS style wheels. Personally, I think the red to gold stripe won't look good-----sort of an expensive "stripe" version of those light-up crown air freshners that were around everywhere a few years ago. Alternatively, straight red would, I think, look good. Please send pictures when your car is done, whatever you decide.

Whats the width of the center strip and the overall width with the space's and 2 small stripes. I am about to paint mine and would like to stripe it too! Dark red base coat with white stripes embedded in clear.

Black with Gold stripes

Yes stripes do make a C4 look good......Black with gold stripes and a white pinstrip along each..... Just match the interior and you will do fine.....
