C5 Auto... Is 1st gear selectable...

I have an '82 Corvette. And of course, 1st gear is not selectable using the shifter, only "2", "3" and "D" are selectable for forward gears.

My question is:- Can you select 1st gear on the C5 Auto transmission?

Yes, first thru drive available (no push button necessary between 1st and N)
