C5 Aux power question

I'm installing some radio equipment for use on the Corvette Caravan in my 04. I know that for many years, GM has installed a 3-wire "pigtail" in the interior for use with hard-wired accessories.
In the 04 FSM this is described as "Blunt-cut wire ends taped to the IP harness". Additionally, there's a wiring diagram, but no component locator.
Has anyone used this pigtail during an accessory installation in a C5? If so, where did you find the wires? I was hoping for information a little more specific than "taped to IP harness".
