C5 Christmas

I received three Corvette gifts for Christmas:

A C5-R mouse and mouse pad. The mouse is a yellow C5-R. I'm going to swap the mice at work.

I got a set of C4 valve stem caps for my C5 that I put on anyway. I'll have to put the stock caps back on if I ever sell it (I don't plan on it)

I also got a C4 cup holder set for my C5 as well that I can't install

My wife and daughter meant well and I cherish these gifts, even if I can't use some of them. Merry Chridtmas everyone. :w

Despite all the extremely obviously hints I dropped since Thanksgiving, I got nothing for the C5. I didn't press the point (as I got plenty of really cool stuff otherwise), but a couple of family members told me that by the time my email indicating the stuff I wanted reached them, it was too late to have it shipped.

Oh well, my birthday is in February, we'll see if some C5 items make their way to me then.

In the meantime, I can't help but feel that even if I didn't receive anything for the Z06 today, I can count my blessings in that (weather permitting), the good Lord has seen fit to put in a circumstance where I could own a Z06 and appreciate it. That's Christmas the year round for me. :D

Mods may come in time- but having the Z06 is a blessing. And this is the time of year when we should take stock of our blessings in life.

Me either! Looks like I may have to see what specials are out there after the holidays! :D

Well Said! Amen.

My wife has been ill for a couple of months. Unable to leave the house let alone the bed.

Two days before Christmas she felt well enough to take a short ride with me and the Vette. Lasted only about 30 minutes, but it was the best gift I've ever recieved.

My son gave me a 50th anniversary wall clock. It has a different year vette on the face for each hour and on the hour it has the sound of the vette for that hour revving up or shifting through the gears. Pretty cool. I have it in my workroom and it has startled me once or twice when it's been quiet in there and all of a sudden this car takes off.
