C5 Driving/Fog Lights

Anyone had any issues with the law relative to using your driving/fog lights just prior to dusk?

In Germany it is illegal to drive with just parking lights. Though the DRLs aren't driving lights, they look like parking lights. I had several German tell me about it. However, I was never stopped by the Polizei.

Here in Italy I am supposed to drive with my headlights on at all times except in towns and cities. I have never turned on my headlights except when necessary and have never been stopped by the Carabinieri.

Randy,

Actually I'm talking about the bright white fog lamps not the DRL's. The fog lamps put plenty of light for driving just before dusk and are excellant for driving in daylight heavy high speed traffic situations. I wondered if anyone had been pulled over under those conditions.

I've never been stopped by the police but under some lighting conditions I've had approching drivers look at me like the lights were too bright. I think they must need adjustment. The law here in south central Pennsylvania doesn't seem to mind all the SUV's and cars driving with their fog lights on all the time so I guess they don't care. I think there is a law against it but it's not enforced.

Here in Massachusetts they started insisting on headlights at dusk - right after Ted Kennedy drove off the Chappaquiddick Bridge.
