What do you people think about taking off my 82 emblems and replacing them with c5 emblems?

I did it on my 83 and it looks great!

Seriously... just leave it be. I think it will void the warranty.

tom, damn the torpedoes ,and full speed ahead. do what you like . if it pleases you that's all that matters

1/2 cent

I'm with Robin!

It's your vette, do what you like. I would keep the originals so they can stay with the 82 for future owners, but while she is yours...you have the last word!

Just do it!

if it feels good do it ..... i was thinking of getting a 50th for mine to commerate the day, but i have no idea where it would look good.....so i have a static cling from the event that is gonna be there for awhile in the windshield...im not sure if it's even available....at the ZZ Top concert in the closing ceromony , he said the emblem on his Corvette guitar was hard to get....:_rock

Hey patsnitrovette... that looks pretty cool, and love the color of the car!!! I take it you had to bend the emblem to fit the curve of the nose(?).

Hey tomj1404... I was a little sarcastic in my reply, just having a little fun. I am with everyone else, do what YOU want, it's your car. Mine is not 100% stock either. Personalizing the car is fun, but as others WISELY point out, save the original stuff in case you (or a new owner in the future) want to change back.

thanks,i love the electronblue, there made out of a bendable plastic so it bends to any shape.

Pat, I really like your 'breeding-practices'; it looks like it could've come from St. Louis that way...
I kinda prefer this 'cross-pollination' of Corvette-logos; it's a "Genuine GM-feeling" way of up-dating a C3, with-out making it look like 'rice'.
I'da liked going to chrome-plated ZR-1/ZO6 wheels & tires on my '82, but I couldn't justify the almost $2000 price-tag.....

Hey glen thanks,,i have a little bit of c4 and c5 into it.i too wanted the z06 rims but in a 4-5 inch backspace.not 6-7 like factory.I like a deep dish rim.

Do what you want to do with it, I have been thinking of putting early Fuel Injection emblems on mine

i believe in staying original as possible. but part of owing an old car is putting it the way you want it.
