I waited patiently and quietly, I read the whole column thoroughly, not once would one of you share your wisdom with me on which wax to use.... I must say disappointment has over come me now.

I totally agree. If the UPF 44 is still available is it the best oil filter for Gen 3 engines. It's what I use on my C5. in fact, just before the rest of the UPF line was discontinued, I bought a large quantity of UPF52s and UPF1218s to fit my other engines. All of the UPF filtes were made by Champion Filter Co. which is a premium filter maker and makes high-end filters for several other brands.

Hib - could you give us the details on why the UPF44 was a better oil filter than the current standard AC Delco recommended by GM?

I googled super race industries, the oil filter part number you listed, etc, etc. It appears that you are even more full than the filter system you are describing. Have you got a link to that indescribably good filter system? Or is this just more of the same? :eyerole

The number DW2001C5 should be a tip-off........:rotfl

Just doing my part to make sure life isn't taken too seriously.....:L

How's the weather up there. My wife is in R.I. for a couple of weeks, flew up to help her parents with taxes etc. From the looks of the weather channel, it's quite mild.
Warm and humid here today, I think spring was last week, this must now be summer already.
Well, I need to go see how much tire tread fluid is this week, rear tires are a little low on tread... ya think I should just top them off, or go with all new?
:w

Now this just p**s*s me off! I spent hours after reading your post trying to get the dealer or tire store to sell me some of this stuff. But, nooo, all they have are these great big round things that they want hundreds of dollars for. What a rip-off!

You gotta tell me where you buy this stuff ... Maybe someone has the stick-on type instead of the pour-on?? I think I'd need the pour-on by the 55-gallon drum.

The best type is the stuff that you pour in through the valve stems. That way, the tire is rejuvenated from the inside out! Be sure to fill the tire with nitrogen when you use the tire rejuvenator. It works best that way. :D

Now I need to figure out which tire rejuvenator filter system to use. Maybe Remo can start a poll.

You know I started reading this thread and the winter thread, just to try and learn and get more information. I can't tell you how hard I have laughed reading some of the posts. You guys are great and have an awesome sense of humor.

Now if anyone can tell me where to get some dehydrated water for the radiator of the truck, I'll be all set.

Oh don't use that dehydrated stuff, there's some new technology coolant available. I'm trying to remember the name.... red flower, the stems have thorns hmmmm.. or yeah Rose.... ROSE what's the name of that new autoparts store near Walgreens? They have that new instant water starter, makes 12.5 quarts you just add anti-freeze to water in a 50/50 mix, and voila the stuff doubles.
