I have a 08 z51 A6 that has recently developed a shift problem. In either D or S, if at highway speeds (lets say 65-75) and I accelerate, it will downshift as normal, but does not always go back to 6th gear after letting back off it. It will just stay in 5th even if I gradually take the speed up to 80+. I can definitely tell it's in 5th just by the revs alone. Shouldn't be going 70 and revs at about 2k RPM. I can however get it back to 6th by using the paddle shifters in S. Any ideas appreciated. Thanks.
