While coming back from a fishing trip with my brother yesterday. We had a bet going on how many Vettes we would see he picked 1, I picked 5. After a few mins passed. I saw a black Vette about a mile behind me. To make a long story short, it turned out to be BIG MISTAKE and hes a Stang fan so he had a big laugh. Now - I have 20/10 vision and I did not see that it was not a Vette until very close....anyone else have this problem? Ck out attachement.

Try picks again

I will try picks again

I actually have more of a problem picking out the difference between camaros and transams and c5s than i do the c6 and anything else. Although there are resemblances between teh c6 and the viper and rx8

I agree with the Camaro/Firebird problem. The other problem I have is trying to identify almost anything in my rearview mirror. When looking through the rear windshield, everything gets squished. As a result, some cars that really cool in my mirror end up being crap in reality!

The other day I was riding to work on my Harley and saw what I thought was a new C6 coming in the other direction. Surprise it was a new Viper. Back in the 60's and 70's you could spot the make and model of an on coming car no problem. Heck you could even do in in the dark. Today all the designers are coming from the same schools and to get good grades they had to please the teacher so what you get is repitition of the same. My degree is in photography and we had the same problem. To get the grades you gave the prof what he wanted to see. You go out and be truly creative and you would be crucified at critique. So then when you get out into the real world the wrap is everyone's portfolio looks the same. I am tired of all the new cars looking the same. I like the looks of my C-4 and have no reason to change.

I think part of the problem now as well is the concern for aerodynamics and lighting positions. "Back in the day" there was little concern for aerodynamics and little to no wind tunnel testing. Now since there is extensive windtunnel testing and ways you can make lights look and front facias to be aerodynamic and sufficiently cool the car there are only so many ways a car can be designed, hence a lot of cars have similarities, ESPECIALLY sports cars.
