Folks,
Having taken the plant tour this past week, all I can say is that I am very disappointed in the "new" C6. Appears to be a C5.5 to me.
The body is very "busy" with lines all over the place as if they were trying to pull clues from all of the earlier Vettes. The interior looked to be nothing more than a freshing up of the C5.
And what is up with that third tail light? Looks to be something that you would buy from Pep Boys and stick on with two sided tape.
Watching the car go together in the plant, I couldn't help but think that the frame and drivetrain looked just like a C5 in overall design.
But the most damning comment came from my 17 year old gear-head son when he saw the headlights. He said, "Looks just like a Mitsubishi 3000."
Just my 2 cents worth coming from a guy who has owned C2s, C3s, C4s, and C5s over the past 25+ years.
