Help!
When I backed in my 2007 LeManns blue convert into my garage - I 'rubbed' against a plastic cover on the body panel that sticks out a bit over the rear passenger side wheel.

Its a plastic storage container (my wife stores these in the garage from Target) with a white platic/rubbery cover.

It left a white scratch on the body - I do not think it actually scratched teh paint off per se - I think the plastic rubbed against and 'stuck' to the body.

Is there a 'safe' way to try and remove this? I haven't touched it as I don't want to rub it. Someone mentioned clay. Any safe, effective method I could try?

Thank you!!!! ;shrug

I agree with Junk. You'd be absolutely amazed at how bad scratches in the clear coat will look. Just take your time with some good cleaner wax. Don't get too carried away with rubbing hard, just wax normally, wipe off, and repeat. It might take many times, but you should begin to see the scratch start disappearing. Keep your rags clean too. You don't want to grind that plastic into the paint. :upthumbs
