C6 side view?

Am I the only one but does the tail end of the new c6 look kind of flat when looking at it from a direct side view? Like someone vetically axed off two inches from the rearend.

From all other angles the car looks auwsum, but this side view kind of makes it look a little stuby?

I played with the side view a little on a freinds photo chop program and by streching it out and rounding it up just a tinne, tinnie tiny bit does wonders for the look.

What do some of you guys think?

Not bashing the C6 it's an otherwise awsome machine. Very tempted to purchase the ZO6 C6 when it comes out.

I think that it's one of the best profile views on any sportscar. The cut-off rear end was done intentionally to make the car leaner and meaner. Of course it's all in the eyes of the beholder, but I for one can't fault it. Heck, I even like the exterior headlights.
Getting a new 06 vert in a few weeks with museum delivery.

Did you order the polished aluminum wheels or the painted wheels? I understand a chrome wheel option (QX3) will be available in December. I don't want to wait that long, but I haven't heard anything positive in regards to the polished wheels. Just curious.

If you wait until December. youll get what you want! Its almost September. The price point should be a bit better by then as well. By the way, the polished wheels on my 00 look one thousand times better than the crap there are putting on the C5!!

If this post was meant for me, I wanted the chrome wheels, but as you suspected, they won't be available until December at the least. I ordered the polished wheels which are on a partial restraint (some orders will go through with them and others wont). Purely the luck of the draw - I won

Do you wonder why they are on restraint?

It's not that vertical . . .

All Renoirs have a similar appearance.

Tom Peters set major design direction for the Pontiac Aztek.

Just as most of Renoir's paintings look similar, just as much of the Beach Boy's music sounds similar, so do these two Tom Peters' designed vehicles look similar.

Check them out in person. Maybe you will see that an Aztek, if squished down and given a smaller greenhouse, looks like a C6? The C6 looks like a squished down Aztek. The angles of the rear and front facia -- especially as viewed from the side -- illustrate this similarity.

It's about proportion and angles. Some people even like the looks of the Pontiac Aztek. That's why automotive designers work in what are called "Design Studios." And that's what makes markets.

But there is nothing like a Corvette of any year or generation. ...And nothing compares to a Z06 C6.

I am in the camp that prefers the rounded, organic appearance of the C5. Some people prefer the harder, edgy C6 look.

It does look rather stubby from some angles. It took a long time for the car to grow on me, but I like it now except for the headlights. The convertible is gorgeous. Stylistically, the car is definitely an improvement over the c5. I think that stubby back end makes the car look leaner and tighter.
