Hi to all,
It looks like the C6 is getting a new run-flat tire. If this is true, then can I put this new tire on my stock C5 wheels? The second part is can I put C6 wheels on my C5? If yes, then the idea is to put the new tires on the new wheels and hope for a better ride. I would like to put wider tires on my C5. Any other ideas are welcome.

C6 will have 19" rears and 18" fronts, so the tires will not go on the C5 wheels. They may bolt on, but I would doubt there would be ample room for suspension travel.

The Autoshow starts today!!! I'll be going to see them this weekend!!

The overall diameter of the C6 tire/wheel combination may cause a problem with the active handling computer and the speedometer reading too. I'm pretty sure you need to use the stock C5 size or you can have a reprogram for the Z06 size. Anything too far from those sizes may cause problems. I'd wait to see what Goodyear does. They now make F1 supercar(Z06) tires that fit the C4 Grand Sport. They also make F1 Supercar tires that fit the stock C5 wheels. I'm hoping they'll do the same with the new C6 tires and make a set that fits the C5.

You could probably use the C6 wheels with a lower profile tire that equals the stock C5 tire's outer diameter.

I've been told that you can use current generation Z06 wheels and tires on your C5. 18" and 19" wheels. C6's run flats on these wheels? Don't know.
