Depends on tires, wheel specifics etc. A few people report having the wheels fits with only infrequent rubbing on the inside of the wheel. Others have reported caliper contact, etc. Those who use spacers use 1/8 inch all the way up to 1/4. Remember to replace with elongated lug bolts if you install spacers. Also expect the tire to stick beyond the body in most cases, which may be a problem with your MOT inspection criteria. Personally I'd get replacement aftermaket C6 wheels made for the C5. It may cost more money, but it will eliminate the other issues.
I sold my stock C5 wheels to a friend for use on his C5. He did use spacers for the wheels with stock C6 tires.
