I am determined to paint my own calipers. I have an '07 C6 now with red calipers but want to change to a color that is at least "close" to the yellow hue of the Velocity Yellow. I also own a '95 in Competition Yellow. If I can find a reasonably close match to the C6 I'll do the C4 in the same color. Not looking for exact match. Just a darker shade of yellow will work. No powder coat. No brush on unless I absolutely have to. Spray can will do just fine.
Thing is I purchased Dupli-Color Yellow engine paint but the color is not dark enough; way too light. I can special order VHT in a bright yellow from O'Reilly's but I have no idea if the VHT "bright yellow" is darker than the Dupli-Color Yellow.
Anyone here paint their C6 Velocity Yellow calipers themselves, and if you did where did you find a reasonable color match? I was in Wally World tonight and found, of all things, the perfect yellow color in Rustoleum ENAMEL. Not good, but I was tempted just to see how it looked. :L
