Is a c6 z06 hard to work on, either the job being done by yourself or letting the shop handle it?

What kind of work are you proposing to do?

I'm not the most mechanically inclined/skilled person on this forum, so I'll defer to those who are to comment with specifics. (C4C5Specialist is our resident World Class Certified specialist on Corvettes.) But for whatever this advice is worth, I wouldn't want to go tinkering around with an LS7 engine unless I was pretty confident I knew my way around it.

Most normal maintenance items aren't that tough. Oil changes, brakes etc can usually be done by the average DIYer. I am fortunate in that I have a very well equipped shop with a lift, a TECH II and just about everything a good Chevrolet shop has.
